Type of people suited for this tour:
These tours are geared towards the serious minded naturalist, hiker, photographer, birder, and adventurer. Due to the remote location, tours involve surf launches and landings. We recommend these tours for those in good physical condition.
Climate:
Casa Corcovado is located at sea level area, the temperature is 26C (80F), tempered by sea breezes on the coast. And humidity is high.
Location:
Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge is remote tropical rainforest retreat with no telephones in the rooms and no faxes, we have available a cellular phone and a radio directly in the hotel in case of emergencies. Fax machine and phone are available in " La Hacienda".
Restrictions:
Please limit your luggage to 25 pounds (12kg) per person. Luggage storage service is available at most hotels. Casa Corcovado is not responsible for the excess of your luggage. We reserve the right to change or omit portions of any itinerary, if warranted by inclement weather or sea conditions.

Two of the most important things to bring to Costa Rica are a pair of BINOCULARS and a field guide (we recommend "Birds of Costa Rica"). They are a must for getting a closer look at wildlife and are available for rent in Casa Corcovado |

A scrapbook or journal where kids can make note of sightings of special animals, plants or people. Nature books or field guides that explain what they are experiencing can be helpful for older children. |

While we have a lot of great snacks in Costa Rica, sometimes it's a good idea to bring a couple packages of the child's favorite snack so that you can surprise him/her with it. |
